Alumni Relations and Placement Coordinator

Qualifications and Core Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Sociology, Political Science, Business Administration or related field from a recognized institution.
• At least three (3) years of relevant post-qualification experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Advanced skills in coordination of activities, organization and capacity to handle multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
• Ability to effectively work on a team in a complex, fast paced environment.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills including ability to interact professionally with culturally diverse staff, partners, and clients.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative.

Key Responsibilities

• Creating and maintaining an alumni database to better understand where alumni currently are, their interests, their needs and ways that they can connect.
• Creating monthly alumni profiles, highlighting alumni and their accomplishments.
• Develop and manage alumni communications channels, including newsletters, social media, and website content.
• Researching, identifying, doing outreach and holding initial meetings with organizations and individuals that could partner in our alumni development.
• Creating quarterly alumni events.
• Creating and implementing a job board for alumni that allows them to access internships, job shadow opportunities and paid job opportunities.
• Coordination of alumni fundraising initiatives.
• Research, identify and partner with individuals and organizations that help promote alumni self-exploration, academic pursuits and career exploration.
• Performing any other duties as may be assigned.
