Mandatory Requirements

For appointment to this grade an officer must have:

• Cumulative service period of twelve (12) years relevant work experience three (3) of which should have been at the grade of Principal Finance Officer or in a comparable position;
• Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines: - Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field from a recognized institution;
• Master’s degree in any of the following disciplines: Commerce, Accounting, Finance, Business Management, Business Administration or related field from a recognized institution;
• Certified Public Accountant (K) or equivalent qualification from an accredited examination body;
• Membership to the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK) or relevant professional body and in good standing;
• Leadership course certificate lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognised institution;
• Proficiency in computer applications; and (viii) Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results
