Responsibilities
- Coordinate and liaise with the food safety team leader on audit plans and inspections, follow up on all issues raised in audits and inspection reports and resolve them.
- Receive customer feedback, conduct root cause analyses and implement corrective action as needed to improve customer satisfaction.
- Implement Kaizen initiatives on the production floor.
- Ensure compliance with all policies, procedures, standards (Food safety standards) and regulatory requirements.
- Lead, manage and develop a high performing team.
WE ARE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO HAS:
- A bachelor's degree in food science and technology and any other relevant degree from an accredited institution.
- A minimum of over 7 years work experience in meat industry, of which 5 years in a management role in meat processing.
- Full understanding of FSSC 22000 Audits and GMP's
- Experience in managing teams
- Demonstrable commercial awareness.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite is required.
- Experience in using ERP systems is desirable.
- Experience in retail meat business
