Clinical Instructor

Requirements. For appointment to this position/grade a candidate must have: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from a recognized and accredited institution; At least three (3) year working experience in clinical practice; Must have valid Practicing License from Nursing Council of Kenya. Proficiency in computer applications; and Demonstrated merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results. Key Responsibilities Duties and responsibilities at this level entails; – Supervising students while they are in their clinical rotation areas; Coordinating with laboratory scientific officers at the clinical sites to achieve excellence in student-patient assignment; Teaching students how to perform duties and procedures in the clinical sites; Provide active clinical, classroom and clinical simulation instructions; Maintain laboratory standards and course expectations throughout each course or term Maintain clinical standards and course expectations throughout each course or term; Evaluate student clinical work as per Nursing Council of Kenya, Equity Africa College of Medical and Health Sciences, Ministry of Health and the clinical site requirements; Attend faculty meetings, professional development workshops and ongoing instructional meetings as required; and Handle students concerns with regard to their clinical experience.
