About this role
Key Responsibilities
- Clinical Instruction Standard Operating Procedures (SOPS), practical manuals development and review.
- Participate in assessement of students both formative and summative
- Deveoping,implementing, enforcing, reviewing hospital measures and guidelines and advising the deaprtment as required
- Provide mentorship and coaching to studnets both formative and summutive stages
- Act as a goodwill ambassador of the Clinical Medicine program and the University
- Advising the Department and University on clinical instruction matters and services
- Perform clinical supervision - coordinating student rotations and/or site visits and helping students understand their duties in different clinical settings
- Develop,maintain and implement equipment maintanance , and also always ensure skills lab and equipment and manikins are in good working condition
- Preparing Skills Laboratory Practical manuals in liason with Lecturers
- Conducting Clinical Instructions to students both in Wards and Skills Laboratory
- Participate in community outreach programs according to set schedule
Qualifications and skills
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing
- High Level of Integrity, professionalism, and Christian Values
- Have strong supervision skills
- Excellent Interpersonal skills
- Excellent leadership skills
- Strong teaching and presentation skills.
- Research and analytical skills.
- Good organizational and teamwork abilities.
- Computer literacy.
- 5 years Clinical Practice in a Level 5 Hospital, past experience in a smillar role is an added advantage.
- Must have a Valid Practising License
- Must be registered with the Nursing Council fo Kenya
