Qualifications, Skills and Experience Bachelor's Degree in Agronomy, Agriculture, Crop Science, Horticulture, Agricultural Management, or a related field Master's Degree is an added advantage Minimum 5-8 years of experience in commercial farm management and crop production Strong sales background Strong knowledge of agronomy, soil fertility, irrigation systems, crop protection, and modern farming practices Experience in budgeting, farm planning, data analysis, reporting, and team leadership Proficiency in Microsoft Office and farm management software Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills Open to candidates willing to work on a consultancy basis Key Responsibilities Oversee daily farm operations from land preparation through harvesting and post-harvest handling Develop and implement crop production, irrigation, fertilization, and pest management programs Manage farm resources including labor, machinery, equipment, and agricultural inputs Supervise, train, and evaluate farm staff to ensure productivity and compliance with operational standards Monitor farm performance, budgets, costs, yields, and profitability Ensure compliance with Good Agricultural Practices (GAP), health, safety, and environmental standards Maintain accurate production records and prepare operational reports for management Liaise with suppliers, contractors, regulatory authorities, and other stakeholders Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Achievement of crop yield and quality targets Farm profitability and cost management Efficient utilization of labor, machinery, and inputs Reduction of crop losses and operational inefficiencies Compliance with quality, safety, and environmental standards Timely execution of farming activities Staff productivity and performance
