Job objective(s)
- To provide strategic direction and promote product development within the region while planning and overseeing the implementation of the group’s product startegies in the country subsidary
Duties & Responsibilities
- Be up-to-date on new economic, technological, environmental, political and social issues or trends impacting or likely to impact Electronic &Transaction Banking.
- Make decisions and implement E-banking policies on advised by the Board or the Group Head E-banking.
- Research and recommend product development priorities
- Appraise the products and activities for consistency with the vision and mission statements (recommend changes where necessary)
- Supervise the region’s product heads; Establishing job description, Training and Providing regular performance feedback
- Periodic market sizing and surveys to determine market and competitor positions within the region
- Ownership of the financial performance of the subsidiary. Participates actively in budgeting and long –term plans.
- Assess feasibility studies/proposal and analyze proposed changes and their implications for long-term success in achieving the vision and mission
- Establishment of service measurement systems
- To create and sustain a team culture that encourages others to provide the quality of service essential to high performance
- Establish and support policies that ensure that all individuals within the unit have the skills and knowledge needed to complete their functions
Education
- Tertiary degree in any field
- The ability to communicate in French and possession of an MBA while not mandatory will confer an added advantage on the candidate.
Experience
- Job holder must have at least 4 years working experience of which 3 must have been in the banking industry preferably in any of the following fields – Strategy, Product Development/Management, and Marketing & Sales.
