We are seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Risk & Compliance to lead the development, implementation and monitoring of effective risk management and compliance frameworks that support business growth, financial stability and regulatory compliance.

The successful candidate will be responsible for credit policy development, loan portfolio risk management, enterprise risk management, regulatory compliance, fraud risk management, risk reporting, and strengthening risk and compliance processes through data and technology.

• Risk Registers, KRIs & Compliance Reporting
• Loan Portfolio Analysis, including PAR, NPLs & Default Rates
• Data Analytics, Monitoring & Risk Dashboards
• Stakeholder, Client & Cross-Department Collaboration

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Risk Management, Banking or a related field
• 7+ years of relevant experience in Risk Management, Compliance, Credit Risk, Internal Audit or Enterprise Risk
• 3+ years in a senior or leadership position
• Experience in Microfinance, Banking, SACCOs, Digital Lending or Credit/Lending Institutions
• Relevant professional certification in Risk, Compliance, Audit or Fraud Management is an added advantage

• The role will be expected to strengthen the organisation’s risk and compliance environment by ensuring timely risk assessments, effective risk registers and KRIs, regulatory compliance, fraud prevention and investigation, portfolio monitoring, and accurate management reporting.
