Information Systems Audit Intern

Application Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Information Technology, Cybersecurity or a closely related field.
• First Class Honours or Second Class Honours (Upper Division) in the relevant undergraduate degree.
• Must have completed all degree requirements and either graduated or be awaiting formal graduation.
• Strong understanding of IT controls, information systems, cybersecurity principles and risk management.
• Understanding of IT governance, risk management and control frameworks, such as COBIT, ISO/IEC 27001 and the NIST Cybersecurity Framework, will be an added advantage.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, documentation and communication skills.
• Proficiency in relevant computer applications and data analysis tools.
• One to two years of relevant practical experience in IT audit, information systems, IT controls or cybersecurity will be a strong advantage.
• Relevant certifications or professional qualifications, including CISA or equivalent, will be an added advantage.

Key responsibilities will include

• Assist in evaluating IT general controls, application controls and information systems security.
• Participate in IT risk assessments and information systems audit engagements.
• Test access controls, system configurations, data integrity and business process controls.
• Identify control weaknesses, system vulnerabilities and technology-related risks.
• Prepare audit working papers, document findings and contribute to audit reports.
• Research emerging technology risks and recommend appropriate control improvements.
