Job Purpose To provide expert diagnosis and management of neurological disorders in children, and support multidisciplinary neurodevelopmental care. Duties and Responsibilities Assess and manage epilepsy, cerebral palsy, neurodevelopmental disorders, neuromuscular diseases, headaches, neuro-infections, and genetic conditions. Interpret EEG, neuroimaging, and relevant neuro-diagnostics; coordinate further testing as needed. Provide inpatient/outpatient consults including emergency neurological care. Develop individualized treatment and rehabilitation plans with MDTs (physio/OT/speech/psychology). Counsel families on diagnosis, prognosis, and long-term management including transition planning. Participate in teaching, mentorship, and CPD activities. Engage in audits, registries, and research in paediatric neurology. Contribute to protocols and quality improvement for neurology services. Qualifications & Requirements Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) from an institution recognized by KMPDC. MMed in Paediatrics and Child Health or equivalent qualification from an institution recognized by KMPDC. Fellowship/certification in Paediatric Neurology or equivalent qualification recognized by KMPDC. Registration with the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council (KMPDC). Recognition as a specialist/sub-specialist by KMPDC. Retention in the KMPDC register. Valid Practice License from KMPDC. Valid Indemnity Cover. Proficiency in computer applications.
