Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
- Prior training experience
- Certified trainer with relevant maritime safety qualifications (e.g., STCW, IMO Model Courses)
- Strong knowledge of international maritime safety regulations and standards
- Minimum of 2-3 years’ sea service and prior teaching or training experience in a maritime institution is highly desirable
- Registered member of a relevant professional body in good standing will be an added advantage

Duties and responsibilities;
- Develop and deliver training programs on maritime safety, including:
- STCW safety courses (e.g., Personal Survival Techniques, Fire Prevention and Firefighting, First Aid)
- Risk assessment and hazard identification
- Emergency preparedness and response
- Safety management systems (SMS) and ISM Code compliance
- Conduct classroom and practical training sessions using modern instructional techniques
- Evaluate trainee performance and provide feedback for continuous improvement
- Maintain and update training materials in line with regulatory changes and industry best practices
- Support audits and inspections related to safety training and compliance
