About this role

 THE ROLE

  • The Pharmaceutical Technologist will support the effective day-to-day management of the pharmacy, ensuring safe dispensing, reliable medicine availability, strong inventory discipline and a high standard of patient service.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for

Pharmacy Operations:

  • Manage day-to-day dispensing and pharmacy workflows in accordance with professional standards, regulatory requirements and Dox operating procedures.

Patient Care:

  • Provide accurate prescription interpretation, dispensing, medication counselling and appropriate pharmaceutical information to patients and caregivers.

 Inventory Management:

  • Maintain accurate stock records, monitor availability and expiries support replenishment and participate in stock counts and reconciliation.

Quality & Compliance:

  • Maintain appropriate standards for medicine storage, handling. documentation, controlled medicines and pharmacovigilance, in line with applicable requirements.

 Reporting & Performance:

  • Maintain accurate operational records and contribute to routine reporting on sales, inventory, stock-outs, expiries and other pharmacy performance indicators.

Service & Continuous Improvement:

  • Deliver a professional patient experience while identifying practical opportunities to improve pharmacy operations, medicine availability and service quality

Collaboration:

  • Work effectively with the Dox team and the healthcare facility's clinical team to support a seamless patient-care experience.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Minimum requirements

  • Diploma in Pharmaceutical Technology from a recognized institution. Current enrollment with the Pharmacy and Poisons Board (PPB) and a valid practising licence.
  • At least one year of relevant professional experience in a retail, community or hospital pharmacy.
  • Good understanding of dispensing, prescription interpretation and pharmaceutical inventory management Strong computer and digital record-keeping skills Good communication and patientcustomer service skills.
  • High level of accuracy, integrity and professional ethics.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of day-to-day responsibilities.
