Remuneration: Consolidated salary plus commission
Our client, a credit-only microfinance company offering business loans and payroll advances, seeks an experienced, results-oriented Relationship Officer to grow its customer portfolio, develop business partnerships and drive quality loan uptake.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, prospect and convert new customers to achieve monthly sales targets.
- Develop strategic partnerships and business-to-business relationships.
- Manage and grow existing customer accounts.
- Present loan products to prospective customers and maintain an active sales pipeline.
- Follow up on loan repayments within the assigned portfolio.
- Assess customer suitability in line with the company’s credit policies.
- Gather market feedback and coordinate with internal teams to improve customer service and sales.
Requirements
- Degree or diploma in Business, Sales, Marketing, Communication or a related field.
- At least 3 years’ sales experience, preferably in microfinance or financial services.
- Proven ability to meet sales targets and manage customer relationships.
- Good understanding of credit risk and loan repayment management.
- Strong communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated, professional and committed to ethical conduct and confidentiality.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and social media.
