Role Purpose
- Drive insurance sales and portfolio growth, supervise the assurance team, and ensure efficient policy administration, regulatory compliance and excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategies to achieve sales, commission income and client retention targets.
- Identify members’ insurance needs, recommend suitable solutions and promote insurance
- uptake across SACCO branches and service channels.
- Supervise and coach assurance staff and agents to achieve agreed targets.
- Oversee policy applications, renewals, premium collection and records management.
- Coordinate claims documentation and follow up with insurers for timely resolution.
- Manage relationships with underwriters and other partners, and resolve escalated customer complaints.
- Monitor premiums and commissions, reconcile records and prepare performance reports.
- Ensure compliance with applicable insurance requirements, internal policies and customer data confidentiality standards.
Qualifications and Experience
- A Bachelor’s degree in related field.
- Certificate of Proficiency (COP) in Insurance from the College of Insurance is mandatory.
- At least three years’ relevant experience in insurance sales, business development or agency operations.
- A Diploma in Insurance will be an added advantage.
