About this role
- The Sales & Marketing Agent will be responsible for generating new business opportunities, developing qualified leads, engaging prospective clients and converting prospects into clients for Athena Tax & Legal Advisory.
- The role combines B2B sales, business development, lead generation, relationship management and marketing support.
- The successful candidate will actively identify businesses that may require accounting, tax, payroll, legal, outsourced finance or CFO services; engage decision-makers; understand their challenges; present appropriate Athena solutions; arrange consultations and diagnostic sessions; follow up on opportunities; and contribute directly to revenue growth.
- This is a target-driven role suited to an energetic and commercially minded individual who enjoys prospecting, networking, building relationships and closing business.
Key Objectives of the Role
- The Sales & Marketing Agent will be expected to:

- Lead Generation
- Research and identify potential clients within Athena's target markets.
- Develop prospect lists based on industry, company size, location and business needs.
- Identify businesses experiencing accounting, tax, payroll, compliance or financial-management challenges.
Conduct outbound prospecting through:
- Telephone calls.

- Develop relationships with business owners, CEOs, CFOs, finance managers, HR managers and other decision-makers.
- Maintain a consistent daily prospecting schedule.
- Research prospects before initiating contact to ensure relevant and personalized communication.
Sales & Business Development
- Introduce prospective clients to Athena and explain the company's value proposition.
- Understand the prospect's business model, current challenges and requirements.
Identify opportunities for Athena's services, including:
- Accounting and bookkeeping.
- Tax compliance and advisory.
- Payroll services.
- Financial reporting.
- Outsourced finance.
- Fractional CFO services.
- Business advisory.
- Legal advisory.
- Qualify leads according to agreed sales criteria.
- Arrange introductory meetings and consultations.
- Schedule appropriate prospects for Athena's diagnostic and advisory sessions.
- Conduct sales presentations where appropriate.
- Handle objections professionally and communicate the value of Athena's services.
- Negotiate within approved commercial parameters.
- Close new business and ensure a smooth transition from prospect to client.
- Identify additional service opportunities within existing client relationships.
Marketing Responsibilities
The Sales & Marketing Agent will support Athena's marketing and lead-generation activities by:
- Promoting Athena's services through relevant digital channels.
- Supporting LinkedIn marketing and prospect engagement.
- Supporting email marketing campaigns.
- Assisting with WhatsApp-based business outreach.
- Identifying relevant industry groups and professional communities.
- Supporting business networking initiatives.
- Participating in exhibitions, conferences, seminars and business forums.
- Generating ideas for campaigns targeting specific industries.
- Supporting the distribution of educational content.
- Identifying potential referral partners.
- Monitoring competitor activities and market positioning.
- Gathering market intelligence from prospects and clients.
- Providing feedback on common customer concerns, objections and market needs.
- CRM & Sales Pipeline Management
- The Sales & Marketing Agent will be responsible for maintaining accurate sales records.
Responsibilities include:
- Entering new leads into the CRM or approved sales-tracking system.

- Recording prospect requirements and pain points.
- Updating opportunity stages.

Minimum Requirements

- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
