JOB SUMMARY

• Providing academic leadership in teaching, research, innovation, and community engagement. The role is responsible for delivering quality teaching, supervising undergraduate and postgraduate students, conducting impactful research, securing research funding, developing curricula, mentoring junior academic staff, fostering collaborative partnerships, and contributing to academic quality, institutional growth, and the University's strategic objectives.

REQUIREMENTS

A Lecturer MUST have;

• An earned PhD or equivalent degree qualification in the relevant field from an accredited and recognized University.
• Have a minimum of three (3) articles in refereed journals or a minimum of twenty four (24) publication points of which at least sixteen (16) should be from refereed journal papers;
• Registered with the relevant professional body (where applicable)

SENIOR LECTURER (Grade 13):
A Senior Lecturer MUST have;

• An earned PhD or equivalent degree qualification in the relevant field from an accredited and recognized University.
• At least three (3) years of teaching experience at the university level as a Lecturer or six (6) years of research/industry experience.
• Have a minimum of four (4) articles in refereed journals or a minimum of thirty-two (32) publication points as a Lecturer or equivalent, of which at least twenty-four (24) should be from refereed scholarly journals;
• Supervised at least three (3) post-graduate students at either Masters or PhD level to completion as a Lecturer or equivalent;.
• Registered with the relevant professional body (where applicable).
