About this role
Main Duties: Reviewing pediatric cardiology patients and instructing in writing and ensuring all orders are carried out under supervision of Consultant Pediatric Cardiologists Undertaking on-call duties including clerking, investigating and managing patients Conducting ward rounds, clinics and theatre days as scheduled/directed Conducting medical research as needed Training, supervising and mentoring Medical Officer Interns and Medical Officers Undertaking medical examinations and preparing Medical Reports Participating in continuous professional development activities Referring patients to other medical specialists for further diagnosis of complex or unclear disorders or diseases Any other duties assigned Required Qualifications for the Position Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBChB) from a recognized institution Master of Medicine in Pediatrics and Child Health from a recognized institution Demonstrated interest in pursuing Pediatric Cardiology sub-specialization Registration with the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council (KMPDC) Valid Practice License Professional Indemnity Cover Proficiency in computer applications
