Job Description
- Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations as requested by authorized clinicians.
- Prepare patients for ultrasound procedures and explain the examination process.
- Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment in accordance with established standards.
- Produce high-quality diagnostic images and preliminary reports where applicable.
- Ensure patient safety, comfort, and confidentiality during examinations.
- Maintain accurate patient records and imaging reports.
- Observe radiation safety and infection prevention protocols where applicable.
- Participate in quality assurance programs within the imaging department.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Diploma in medical imaging sciences (sonographer option) from a recognized institution.
- Registration with the kenya society of radiographers and/or the relevant regulatory body.
- Valid practicing license
- Certificate in computer applications.
- Demonstrated professional competence and good communication skills.
