Qualifications, Skills and Experience MS
- Certificate or Diploma in Automotive Engineering, Motor Vehicle Mechanics, or an equivalent technical qualification.
- Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience in tyre fitting and management within a commercial vehicle environment.
- Strong technical knowledge of heavy commercial trucks, trailers, and light commercial vehicles, including tyre specifications, load indices, and inflation standards.
- Experience supervising a team in an operational, workshop, or yard environment.
- Competent in using mobile and desktop applications for data entry and reporting.
- Experience in tyre management services or fleet management will be an added advantage
- Familiarity with Budini Tyre Management Software or equivalent systems is preferred.
- Exposure to CPK-based tyre contracts and fleet SLA environments will be an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily tire yard operations, including fitment, rotation, torque checking, and pressure maintenance.
- Manage the full tire lifecycle, including new tire issuance, worn tire removal, retread dispatch, and receipt.
- Ensure all tire transactions comply with standard operating procedures and customer SLA requirements.
- Maintain appropriate tire stock levels based on fleet requirements.
- Monitor tire performance, wear patterns, load ratings, and inflation standards, and identify issues requiring technical escalation.
- Ensure accurate and timely recording of all tire transactions in the Budini Tire Management System.
- Review operational reports and maintain organized, auditable yard records.
- Ensure yard tools and equipment are properly maintained and used safely.
