Duties and responsibilities
- Teaching areas allocated by the Head of Department.
- Designing, developing, planning and delivering a range of programmes of study, sometimes
- for entirely new courses at various levels.
- Delivering high-quality lectures and practicals.
- Overseeing clinical practice, providing students with real-world learning experiences and
- guidelines in industry settings.
- Reviewing course content and materials on a regular basis, updating when required.
- Collaborating with academic colleagues on course development, curriculum changes and
- the development of research activities.
- Carrying out research and writing research grant proposals.
- Seeking and participating in consultancies.
- Presenting research papers at national or international conferences and other similar
- events.
- Disseminating research outputs.
- Providing mentorship and career guidance to students and staff.
- Ensuring all academic activities align with the standards of the Council of Legal Education.
- Any other duty that may be assigned from time to time by the supervisor.
Qualification and experience
- Masters in Law (LLM) from an accredited university.
- Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from an accredited university.
- Registered or registrable for a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or equivalent Doctoral degree qualification.
- At least three (3) years of post-qualification work experience
- Demonstrate potential for university teaching and research.
