KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support the recruitment and onboarding of employees.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR files.
- Handle staff attendance, leave and absence records.
- Support payroll preparation and verification of staff information.
- Assist in managing employee relations, grievances and disciplinary matters.
- Support implementation of HR policies, procedures and company rules.
- Coordinate staff communication and HR-related notices.
- Assist with performance management and staff appraisals.
- Support employee welfare and engagement initiatives.
- Ensure HR documentation and processes comply with applicable labour requirements.
- Assist with staff training, induction and other HR activities.
- Prepare HR reports and maintain accurate HR data.
- Provide general administrative support to the HR function.
REQUIREMENTS
- Diploma or Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration or a related field.
- 2–4 years of relevant HR experience, preferably within retail, FMCG, hospitality or another fast-paced operational environment.
- Good understanding of Kenya employment and labour practices.
- Experience with attendance, leave management, payroll support and employee records.
- Practical experience handling employee relations and disciplinary processes.
- Good computer skills, particularly MS Excel and Word; familiarity with HRIS/payroll systems is an added advantage.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level of confidentiality, integrity and professionalism.
- Ability to work independently, follow up on tasks and meet deadlines.
- Must be organised, detail-oriented and comfortable working with a diverse workforce.
