Role Objective
- Our client, a Nairobi-based company, is seeking to recruit a reliable, disciplined, and experienced Driver to support the safe and timely transportation of equipment, materials, and supplies. The role will also provide general logistical support to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
Core Duties and Responsibilities
- Safely drive company vehicles while observing traffic laws and road safety regulations.
- Transport and deliver equipment, materials, and supplies to designated locations on time.
- Assist with loading, securing, and offloading goods while ensuring they are handled safely.
- Check items before dispatch and upon return to ensure they are accounted for and in good condition.
- Conduct routine vehicle checks and report any faults, repairs, or maintenance needs.
- Keep the assigned vehicle clean, safe, and in good working condition.
- Maintain basic vehicle and delivery records as required.
- Report accidents, breakdowns, delays, or other challenges promptly.
- Carry out any other duties related to the role as assigned.
Job Specifications and Qualifications
- KCSE Certificate or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant driving experience, preferably in commercial or delivery driving.
- Valid driving licence with the appropriate class for the vehicle.
- Clean and valid driving record.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and ability to identify common vehicle faults.
- Good knowledge of Nairobi and surrounding areas and familiarity with major road networks.
- Defensive driving training will be an added advantage.
- NYS training will be an added advantage.
