Ripening In-charge

Key Duties & Responsibilities Supervise daily ripening and sorting operations to achieve optimal ripeness and quality. Monitor temperature, humidity, and ethylene levels in ripening chambers. Inspect incoming fruits and report quality to the procurement team. Track and report inventory levels; coordinate supply to ensure steady production. Schedule and prioritize sorting batches; ensure timely labor planning by 1600H daily. Supervise forklift operations, ensuring safe handling and logical arrangement of bins by GRN sequencing. Manage and train ripening casuals on procedures, safety protocols, and hygiene standards. Maintain accurate records of ripening times, conditions, and outcomes. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations. Advise management on process improvements and operational efficiency. Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Agriculture, or related field. Certificate or Diploma in Agriculture is an added advantage. Minimum 3 years’ supervisory experience in avocado production or agricultural operations, preferably in fruit ripening. go to method of application »
