Role Objective:
- The personnel is responsible for the day-to-day handling, setup, operation, and maintenance of sound and audio-visual equipment. This role ensures smooth technical delivery during events, studio sessions, or daily venue operations through proactive gear care, clean cable routing, and reliable audio assistance.
Core Duties and Responsibilities
- Transport, unload, assemble, and position audio gear, including PA systems, speakers, active/passive monitors, and microphones.
- Perform proper cable management to ensure safety and clean presentation.
- Set up stage gear, stands, and basic lighting/visual equipment where required.
- Conduct pre-event or pre-session signal checks, line checks, and basic sound checks.
- Operate small-to-medium analog and entry-level digital mixing consoles during live setups or rehearsals.
- Monitor audio levels to prevent clipping, feedback, or equipment distortion.
- Inspect, clean, and test all equipment before and after every deployment.
- Maintain an accurate equipment inventory log, flagging damaged, faulty, or missing items promptly to the Line Manager.
- Perform basic routine repairs, such as cable soldering, connector replacement, and battery management for wireless systems.
- Assist the senior technical team with troubleshooting audio routing or power distribution issues on-site.
- Hand and lead on-site installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of LED screens for events.
- Perform any other relevant duties as assigned.

Job Specifications and Qualifications
- Certificate/ Diploma in Audio Engineering, Sound Technology, or Media Studies or equivalent courses.
- 2 years of practical experience handling sound equipment in live events, venues, or production studios.
