Key Responsibilities Undertake compliance verifications for intermediate and renewal for issuance of the International Ship Security Certificate to Kenyan ships. Receive and disseminate data on vessels with privately contracted armed security personnel on board ships Enhance and improve physical security. Investigate security incidences in liaison with law enforcement agencies and security contractors and prepare reports. Conduct due diligence on security contractors. Coordinate the activities of all contracted security personnel. Ensure provision of adequate security to staff and assets. Conduct security risk assessment of ship or port facilities. Process applications for and issue security certificate to port facilities serving ships not engaged on international voyages and private jetties. Process applications for and issue Statement of Compliance to Kenyan port facilities serving ships on international voyages. Coordinate gathering, processing and sharing of information relating to maritime. Review applications for recognition as Recognised Security Organization. Qualifications & Skills Bachelor’s Degree Mechanical Engineering Bachelor’s Degree Marine Environment Bachelor’s Degree Naval Architecture Bachelor’s Degree Nautical Science go to method of application »
